| Ben Harper and Relentless7 – Number with no name Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Fantastic song. Not quite sure what the significance of "number with no name".... Sounds like a gambling addition problem almost from the first lines. Anyone with some killer insight? | |
| Ben Harper and Relentless7 – Lay there and hate me Lyrics | 16 years ago |

This is my favorite song on this unbelievable album so far. My only question would be the line, "I've grown so antsy by myself I wish I didn't know." I thought I heard "I've learned some things about myself I wish I didn't know" Your version makes sense too, so I could be hearing things. |

| The Black Keys – I'll Be Your Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Is it really "Want my time - I'm wheelin' yeah" ? Sounds like "I'm willin' yeah" would be correct. | |
| The Raconteurs – Rich Kid Blues Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Is love just a game to those with everything? (Oh they're in my game) A player that can manipulate women? (I know what's going on .. And I know just exactly what is on your mind.) He thinks he's playing to win true love, but he can't seem to get it? (Always play to win, But always seem to lose) Might it be a 'be careful what you wish for' messages? |

| The Raconteurs – These Stones Will Shout Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Rolling stone says its an old folk hymn. Haven't been able to find it anywhere else, so I'm not sure how much of the lyrics are adapted, if any at all. | |
| The White Stripes – 300 M.P.H. Torrential Outpour Blues Lyrics | 18 years ago |

artbeat, The White Stripes have always borrowed heavily from the blues. It's what all great artists to. Take something and put your own spin on it. It's not like they are covering ZZ Top or Led Zeppelin. In fact, those artists ALSO borrowed heavily from the blues. "If I have seen further it is by standing on ye shoulders of Giants." - Isaac Newton |

| The White Stripes – Catch Hell Blues Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"If you're getting chick (?)" Might this be instead: If you're getting chic as in ... Conforming to the current fashion; stylish that'd make more sense with the next line where he says you're lying to yourself. |

| The Black Crowes – Jealous Again Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Nah... that's not it. He's reassuring his girl that he actually does care. He's just too proud to admit it. Dirty laundry is inactive... it just sits there. It's a metaphor for his lack of expression of his love, and it spreads, because when he doesn't express his love, its recipricol. Being jealous shows that a person cares about what the other is doing and doesn't like competition. The 2nd verse says, "I'm always out of town on tour, (always drunk on Sunday, their off-day), but I'm still nervous about what you're doing and misses her (feeling cold). The third verse says he's trying not to show he's concerned, by playing it cool. The last verse, the best one in my opinion, shows his frustration... don't you think I'd rather be at home? He wishes he could be with her always and wishes he could tell her that, but he thinks that would make him weak, a wuss, always talking about how much he loves her. Awesome song for all those who have self-respect and pride. |

| Home isn't a place, it's a feeling. Now that's the truth. | |
| Aerosmith – Dream On Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song plays during the end credits for the movie Miracle, as someone else pointed out earlier. It absolutely gives me chills every time I hear it in that context. One quote from the movie sums up why the song works so beautifully... "That's a pretty lofty goal, Herb." Herb - "That's why I want to pursue it." |
