| Septicflesh – Dark River Lyrics | 17 years ago |

2 jsstoddart "sounds like its about the river styx, sung as if hades were the one singing" Not exactly. The river is named in the songs, it's Acheron ("stream of woe" in ancient Greek), I think in Greek mythology it's a branch of Styx. And it's sung from the perspective of Charon, the ferryman who carries dead across the river. |

| Hm, I'm not sure, but it look like it's about drugs and their effect on a person. | |
| Bananarama – Robert De Niro's Waiting Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Hm, I can think about several possible meanings for this song: 1. The girl don't trust boys and is afraid of the possibility of being raped "Boys living next door are never what they seem" "A walk in the park can become a bad dream" So she escapes from these fears by watching films with De Niro and dreaming about him, her hero. "I don't need a boy I've got a man of steel" 2. (Less likely) The girl was raped and escapes mental pain by watching movies. These line confuse me though "Don't try to change me you're wasting your time" Who's trying to change her? Might it be that someone tries to persuade her to stop watching movies and get out with real boys...? |

It seems that these lyrics are a bit off. From looking at various websites and listening to to the song several times I think that the following is the most correct version **** Feel every things circumstantial Realize the nonsense of existing Start to put to an end to this lost life There ain't no change for the better Send a kiss from jail Can this dream bless me now? To undo the pain, My soul will slip on... Don't tell me / I'm dying Tired of / Bury the pain As I bury this knife in my body Slowly slipping away To another dimension of virtue My soul is drifting away in vain A man greets me on the other side "Welcome to hell" Here it's my turn Send a kiss from tomorrow Endless dreams that we've held Don't tell me / I'm dying Bury the pain As I bury this knife in my body Slowly slipping away To another dimension of virtue Bury the pain As I bury this knife in my body Slowly slipping away To another dimension of virtue Bury the pain As I bury this knife in my body Slowly slipping away To another dimension of virtue Bury the pain As I bury this knife in my body Slowly slipping away To another dimension of virtue **** Although English is not my first language so it's possible that I'm wrong. |

| Morbid Angel – Inquisition (Burn With Me) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Well, the meaning is pretty straightforward - the burning of witches. Although I think it's not literally about witches, but about oppression of otherwise-minded in general. Like how those with power try to subdue people who disagree with them and how many people choose to just stand by and watch the "burning" even though they agree with the "witch". P.S. Great guitar solos IMO. |

| Slayer – Angel Of Death Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Hm, you mean that I'll go to hell for listening to good music? Well, the price seems pretty low to me ;) After all if you say that metal musicians go to hell it means that I'll be in the same place as them and I'll be able to attend their concerts :) Anyway, the meaning was explained many times already. It's horrible that such things actually took place and that there are people like Mengele. |
