thank you so much osuturfman! i commented last year on why no one had brought this point up. this is pretty much exactly what i think, the song is about him trying to kick his heroin addiction. this song shows a lighter side to his addiction with him seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, while POOL SHARK, which is CLEARLY about heroin, portrays a negative, darker, 'i'm giving up' sort of look on his habbit. (i.e. 'one day i'm gonna lose the war') |

alright no one in six pages has mentioned this so im wondering if anyone's even heard it. supposedly in the book portrait of a punk, it talks about how brad wrote this song for his son jakob and that it has to do with his heroin addiction and trying to quit. (i.e. "and i'll make it") much unlike the song poolshark where he says "one day i'm gonna loose the war"...anyone hear anything regarding this? |
