I disagree with the several comments linkin this song to kurt cobains death. if you listen and read kurt's lyrics that he rote before he died - dont you think their is a link between those lyrics and him being found dead means something. I disagree that he was murdered because of the content of his lyrics and the fact that he put lyrics in his last album which could mean that he finally wanted people to know what he was saying and people to stop assuming things. However back to seether. I have always thought this song was about a relationship where the girl was paranoid of guys faking it. The gun is a very vivid image and brings home that the relationship has spiralled out of control and they are trapt within lies. |

I can see where you might be coming from there - as some guys feel that all girls do is make them 'feel like a hypocrite because you cannot lie." but in all the other lines i dont think this relates to women, 'we wanna be like you" unless saun wants to be like a woman.. i disagree with GUILLOTINEinc. I do however agree that this song is very much to do with politics - the world we live in today is full of hypocrites and we 'cannot run' they're (politics) trying to create the 'perfect society' whereby everyone (generally) is trying to fit in and comply. But in reality this world is far from perfect - 'hanging you out with their whiskey breath' |
