| Funeral for a Friend – One For The Road Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song is fucking awesome. All five of FFAF sing in this song. And the vocals together are great! Especially the end, very touching to me. I think this song is about the main character's wife. She is sad about her husband going away on a ship. It focuses on how hard it is to let someone you love go. She knows she's going to miss him a heap. My thoughts anyway. So yah. |

| Anti-Flag – This Is The End (For You My Friend) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"Shoving images down our throat basically brainwashing us into thinking that there are certain norms to be followed into society" Quote - Drtom182 Fucking legend. Hit the nail right on the head. Advertising has changed people's self-esteem and self image. Just like a FFAF song... "I love you, just the way you are" People don't need to change the way they look. If they want to do it.. fine, but if not.... What's the point? |

Yeah. Matt sings the "soon" part with a high pitched voice. It was hard to spot. I thought it was just backup vocals. |

Hold up... There's a mistake in those lyrics. The line before the chorus is in fact; "Why'd they leave so soon" Well.. according to the 'Tales Don't Tell Themselves' booklet. |

I would have to definately agree with Music=Life here. I reckon that is a spot on hit. This song can relate to me. I get pressure from school, and if anyone has a problem they talk to me. I don't mind that they talk to me.. just I have to keep them secure about it, and tell them that everything's going to be okay. But I can't show my emotions because they need someone to rely on.. and if I feel like crap they might think differently about talking to me. Trying to help people is hard, keeping them from the knife or anything. But it's worth every last bit of my life to help the ones around me. That's all from me. Great song this one. Take care. |

| Funeral for a Friend – Escape Artists Never Die Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I watched the video clip to this the other week. It has two people dancing. This song has been portayed in so many different ways. Prisonbreak, love and dancing. Yes dancing. In the video clip two people are dancing. And the lines... "With a hundred thousand lives, timing is everything" says to me that you have to practice and get everything right so you dont screw up at all during your performance. Prisonbreak. Hence the name. And also "With a hundred thousand lives, timing is everything" Also says that if you want to get out, you have to get your timings right so you make it out alive. Also the title says "Escape Artists Never Die" and escaping prison would probably be a really fucking hard task to overcome. So if you can do tat you can do anything. Love. In the chorus. It says "Up to my neck When I'm breathing without you Without you Up to my eyes And I'm seeing without you Without you" He is saying that he can live without the person he loves. After a fight or a break up or something he thinks he can deal with it. But at the end of the song "Please someone help me I'm dying here in front of you Please someone help me I'm dying here in front of you Means he realised he can't live wtihout his love and needs her. And he is dying in front of her everytime he sees her. Believe me... I know how it feels. |

| Funeral for a Friend – Your Revolution Is A Joke Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Hmmm.... I like all these thoughts. But I think one major thing was left out. One of the major topics on the media we see or hear... is about war. I don't think Matt can see the morality in war, and neither can I. Killing eachother. Hence the name "Your Revolution is a Joke" What is this war trying to revolve? That might be his thought. |

| Funeral for a Friend – She Drove Me To Daytime Television Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Well... I had an idea. I'm not sure about other countries... but in Australia, during the daytime is all these soaps and shows about charity or something like Baywatch or Neighbours. The title says "She Drove Me To Daytime TV" could mean that he can relate himself to the programmes that are on during the day time. ... Just a thought. |

| Funeral for a Friend – The End of Nothing Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I don't know if anyone else has written something like this. But the way I see it, it's about a couple, and the boyfriend and girlfriend treat eachother like crap and hit eachother. Where it says "The light looks good against the bruises on your cheek, Another medal that you have to wear this week" I think it means that the boyfriend hits the girl and makes a bruise, and the medal is the bruise... like a battle where people are wounded, they seem to get a medal for going through a rough time, so the medal is the bruise for going through a rough time, and the girl is scared of getting hit if she tells her friends or something. The lines... "So take this knife, running down your chest, Does this feel like love, here we are waiting" To me it says that they are questioning their love because of the violence inside the relationship and it isn't love, and the knife is a metaphor for violence and fights, and it hurting the couple, and either of them are waiting to see if they do love eachother or if the fighting will stop forever, and not have to worry about anything. I'm pretty sure the lyrics in the bridge are... "You and I, Will die alone tonight You and I Will lie alone tonight" thats what the lyrics book says. |
