This song is very cute :) It just seems to be, as TKEryan21 has said before, like a guy realizes how wonderful someone is and she doesn't even have to try; she's such a wonderful person and he's really happy to be in her presense because he respects her as a person. I'm not sure if they are a couple yet, it just seems as if he is enamoured by her and loves her and really WANTS it to be like they belong to each other, although it might not be that way yet. She has maybe just returned from something and he has once again realized how wonderful she is, and never wants to not be in her life again. Really cute in my opinion :) Oh, and: Dear cobyrocker, 1) This isn't a band. It's composed of Bryce Avery, a very VERY talented musician who plays multiple instruments. 2) Looking at/hearing him, one might suppose he is gay, but he's actually religious soo . . haha I don't think so? Not that it's a necessarily good or bad thing either way, just letting you in on that. |

I think that it's about not having to say goodbye to a close friend . . how you realize how much they mean to you and that you want to spend as much time as possible with them until you have to part ways. | Basically, this person realizes that a girl makes him feel like he's "floating on air" and he doesn't want to leave that place; he'll do whatever he can to be with her and "take what [he] can get" if she wants him back. She is being truthful about her intentions ["when you whisper you want this, your eyes tell the same"] and hence he gets an incredible, on-top-of-the-world feeling as he is "caught in suspension." :) This song sends shivers down my spine, soooooo good. | |

I think it's someone kind of realizing what was holding him back isn't really that big of an obstacle and he's slowly "crawling" towards his goals, the rising sun; it does it in a very fun, upbeat, and random way! |

I really think that you can interpret a lot of Relient K's songs in many different ways depending on what you think before listening to them. For most of their songs, I interpreted them normally pretty much and then once I found out they were a somewhat religious group I went back and re-analyzed a lot of the songs, but they still mean the same thing to me. This doesn't speak out as a religious song to me at all; positive and negative ends?! That's more like chemistry and clicking together . . positive attracts negative, different people are attracted to each other, it's laws of physics/chemistry that the attraction should be there. He really loves this person, but he's "not exactly him," meaning someone else she loves. Perhaps they were never even together, but he is feeling hurt and is trying to convince himself that it wasn't meant to be, when really he's just over-thinking everything, and he should just let it go even though he wishes that he could be with her. :'( |
