| Kent – Sverige Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is a sad lovesong to Sweden, a melancholic nationalhymn if you like. Like in many of Kents lyrics there is not a specific "opinion" like niamh seems to belive but more like poetic thoughts. He describes the mentality of swedes but also the emptiness we all feel inside. Its just a very emotional song that can not be explained with logic. And the word "lagom" is actually a very good word to descibe the mentality of swedes, "not to much, not to little", "not good, not bad" but something in between, like a golden middle-path. | |

Dont you think this song is about BOTH addiction and a girl/ex. When i listen to this song and read the lyrics I feel that I can relate to both. Like he is in a very painful situation, perhaps he is using drugs becouse she left him or she left him becouse his addiction. "You don't understand who they Thought I was supposed to be Look at me now a man Who won't let himself be" This part must be about addiction, and I think all drug addicts can relate to the feelin that they have let everyone down. This part of the song is very intersting : "Bury me softly in this womb Oh I want to be inside of you I give this part of me for you Oh I want to be inside of you" etc I think is a reference to masturbation like he is desperatly masturbating and thinkin about his girl to get the pain inside to loose. What do you think? |
