| The meaning of this song, for me, is easier to grasp than most other Tally Hall songs. It's really about someone that's experiencing feelings of "love" (a player, perhaps?) for the first time. Now that they've felt something serious, they are too afraid to commit. This person would "rather feel safe than to have tried," but it's hard for them to live this way. | |

This is one of my favorite songs. I was going through what you could call a "spritual slump" in my life before and when I bought the CD. This got to me the most: The voice of who I used to be Screaming out, "Someone, someone please Please shine a light into the black Wade through the depths and bring me back" So listening to this song made me want to stop avoiding people who wanted to help me and talk to them.
