Liking some of the opinions there. Personally I think this song is about a girl leaving her long time lover for something bigger and better, possibly even a new lover. The singer is telling her she should of been happy with what she had as she realizes she made a big mistake leaving him. This guy isn't going to take her back straight away and realizes while his hurting that all he needs in this life is: "Well all I need is the air I breathe And a place to rest my head" Great song. |

This song kicks ass, its unreal! Personally I think this song is about a failed marriage, but the couple stay together for the simple fact of their kids. "Like drinking poison, like eating glass" - I think that means he is doing himself harm by staying in a relationship he knows he shouldn't be in. |

Without doubt my favorite Eminem song, when I got this album on Christmas day I listened to it drunk and half asleep but when this song came on I immediately got up and fully listened to it. Its a shame most people wont hear it as I dont think he is going to release it. Fantastic lyrics, absolutely blew me away, and the back ground music sent chills up my spine. When Im in a bad mood I stick this song on. By the way To Mr.b.EVAN.c you are talking complete rubbish. How can a rappers voice be gone? He isnt a singer and doesnt need a "smooth" voice. Its as if he is rapping this song pissed off and he does it brilliantly. Eminem back to his best. |

kupos I dont think thats what he means by rootless tree. I think: Well a tree with out roots is going to fall over and feels like he is holding it up - "this leans on me like a rootless tree" - he is comparing the the weight of the tree to what he feels like with the woman he is love with but doesnt want to feel that way. |

I think it is just pure genius by Timberlake how he manages to set two different tones and do it so well. My take on this song is he is out in a club and he spots a girl he likes, and he begins to fall in love for her,the music is upbeat and he is confident he will get her hence: "She might be goin' home with me tonight". But as the night/song goes on he starts to realise he is not going to get her, the music changes to a more depressing mood and it seems as if he surreneders. Hence: "And now I walk around without a care She's got me hooked It just ain't fair" Brilliant song, best ont he album. |

"Closer where i Started Chasing after you" It is beyond me how anyone can think this song is about God. Personally what I get from those lyrics that he is after a woman he is deeply in love with and he is getting nowhere with her, as in he is having trouble making her his girlfriend. Hence the next line: "i'm falling even more in love with you" I have experienced two or three times and these lyrics make perfect sense to me. |

I first heard this song on an episode of Friends. Completely blew me away, for months I tried to track down the name of it. Anyway it was the episode were Ross and Rachel are breaking up because Ross is annoyed that he doesnt see her enough because of her work commitments and anyone who watched Friends will know that Ross was madly in love with Rachel. So this song is perfect to describe their relationship, Ross cant live with her because its killing him that he doesnt see her all the time and obviously he cant live without. Personally that what I thought this song was about anyway. Also I have experienced this situiation myself, I was completely in love with a girl for months before I got her. Obviously I loved her way too much and when we were togather I was in pain because it was me always making the effort to meet her, I had to to text/phone her first every single time. It made me think this.."she doesnt like me that much". I dont know, maybe I was completely infatuated with her but I just could'nt handle being with her then of course she ended because we fought one night. I cant live without her either. This song means so much to me. |
