| I think I understand most of the song, but what does she exactly mean when she says "there but for the grace of god go I"? It's an important part, but the phrasing throws me off. Does she mean if it wasn't for the grace of god or I don't need god or... I'm confused. | |

definitely failed relationship... mourning over how it didn't work out... I wasn't a fan of her album in the beginning, mainly because of her lyrics. But then I got around to it and started enjoying her music overall. Listening to the line "When you're kissing someone who's too much like you / It's like kissing on the mirror" however, reminds me again of the dislike. She just couldn't come up with a better analogy? |
