Ok, First off: MAE IS NOT A CHRISTIAN BAND. If you read their website, or any interview they have done, you would know that they are NOT a Christian band. They are Christians IN a band, but not a Christian band collectively. Second: I don't know what the real meaning is, but I was recently driving home and listening to this song, when it hit me: this song is about cheating. To me, I thought that maybe while on the road, he has had trouble being faithful, but in the end, he just wants to be with his girlfriend. I don't know cause I'm not obviously not Dave, but he writes beautiful lyrics, and just because he is a public figure, and WAS on in a band on a Christian label doesn't give you (the Christain fans) the right to persecute him for writing lyrics that you don't approve of. |
