This song is killer. After hearing lucid dreams i knew that this album would definitely be worth the long wait. After hearing this, and a couple other new songs from the album (live performances on youtube), I'm convinced that this is one of the top 10 bands of the past 10 years. Seriously-these dudes just get it.
Obviously this one is about getting high - but I'm kinda struggling with the Ulysses part - just doesn't seem to add up (then again songs about getting high rarely do). Maybe has something to do with either the book by James Joyce or the poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson?? I know its a stretch, but thats all I can come up with at this point.
Anyways, you don't need to know the true meaning to appreciate how badass it is!!!!! |

Of course this song is about heroin. And don't try to tell me that Jack White isn't into heroin, just look at the guy. Musicians have been writing songs about drugs and making it sound like a love song ever since the beatles (day tripper and got to get you into my life are probably their most well-disguised drug anthems). Anyways, sorry folks, this song is indeed about heroin. But feel free to take whatever meaning out of it that you want. That's why music is the universal language. |

Here's the thing about Muse. Its like they write each album thinking about how they're gonna play them live to make them sound even more awesome. Taking a bow is the perfect song to play when they close their show each night. Muse is amazing. |

Amazing song. I highly suggest you watch some of their live videos on youtube. when you see them live you can really see that the drummer is just beating the hell out of the drums. very trance like song. |
