Well, for me this is definitely one of Damien Rices uplifting songs. it's like wootfest said, the message is don't care about what others say, just live and enjoy your life and make your own decisions the way you feel right about them. to verses 1 and 2: I think it's basically the same here: if your girlfriend is going on about "tell me what's wrong with you, I want to know why you're sad/ hurt etc., talk with me about your feelings" and stuff, you don't have to. you don't have to cry infront of her only because she wants you to. if it's embarassing to you and you feel like you want to die after you'd cried in front of her, you simply shouldn't do it. she has to except this. |
