I don't think you can understand this song. Its kind of the eternal question what do women want? What do men want? Its the confusion of loving somone but messing it up...we've all done it. What makes him tick? And the lonelier side of the jealousy stick is about why we always realise we feel something for someone we are taking for granted when someone else shows an interest in them! Its just about a break up he loved her but then he broke up with her but now he's not sure if he has made a mistake? Its real and familiar to everyone thats what makes it great. |

The song to me is one of his most simple. But one of his most brilliant! Sometimes its what you leave out of a song or the spaces between the notes that have the most meaning. The song represents the strongest love there is the kind of love where you can put aside your own beliefs for someone else. Where you want nothing about the other person to ever change. And all you ask from God is that the person remains the same and protected. If someone said that about me I'd be over the moon :) |

The song is a love song. He met someone and fell for them he thinks that she is the one but he doubts it because the current world expects so much from your "true love" that unless "Stars explode in the sky" how do you know if this person is the one! The last verse explains that you have to put aside expectations and go for what you want. He who seeks finds! Perfect modern love song. |
