I love this song? Even if it is completely stoned. I mean:

Sounds like a drug high/trip to me. Great song though ;) |

This song is about a guy (Alex???) who never really fitted in the the popular crowd and as a result got beaten up a lot- emotionally and physically- by them while all the while her loved a girl in their midst, and she *probably* did too. But then years went by, and they found each other again BUT this time the guy was popular and the girl WASN'T. So things went really quite badly wrong, and ended up taking Valium to numb the pain- but overdosed, and are now fading away 'into the darkness'- i.e. death.
And as for the 'squeezing in your fingers what it means for me to be yeah' could have two intereperatations. One is that she's picking over all the details in his life and mocking him but still loving him, and the other is...welll...what natalieday217 had in mind. |

It's about somebody who got addicted to drugs in their old town in interior B.C. (which was already run-down etc) and then hitchiked to Vancouver to try and get a job. But things just got worse, and now is sitting about in Pigeon Park begging whilst half dead on drugs. I think the last couple of lines are sort of 'last-breath' as their body finally gives up and succumbs- and is probably found dead the next morning. So sad :'( |
