Ive seen the video and read these comment about cheating but, yeah in my opinion its a person ( not necessarily a guy) who is disappointed in the other, kinda like reprimanding, almost like a parent or brother, theyre
saying its not really the others fault because they where so naive. but still saying you know, how could this be done cause no one wants to believe that such a girl could do something like that, maybe she Is an alcoholic. Further supported by the lines just dont let me down repeated many time like how parents are always saying and hold on to your kite i think is some sort of refrence to good old childhood memories.

anyho, well somebodys probably mentionned it before but the song is about the lead singer( forgot his name) and this girl named delilah and they met in chicago and she actually had a bf but she wasnt like IN LOVE but I guess he was and a year later they were performing in NYC and he said hed write a song for her and he did. By the way, she was an all-star track runner in college. After all this if your still interested, read about it in time magazine.( I probably screwed up some minor details or left bits out..) |

Ditto, I double that motion, this isn't a God song, you could debate, and if by chance you do convince me that it is about God, then I definetly want a "God Jersey" as penguin92 said.

I know its been mentioned before that manson and and rk went to the same school in the same town(canton,ohio) but did you know that he(manson) was a beliver and people mad fun of him at youth group or something or other and they were supposedly christians, he was obviously disappointed and hurt blah blah so that is way his is the way he is, I dont know what that is but I for one have always associated Manson with devil worshippers and stuff and people like matgrasm will obviously call me a stupid bible thumper who lives in a hole and is so closed-minded about manson because in reality if i read between the lines of his lyrics i would see something meaningful. well news for you I wont be doing that any time soon because I belive that music to some extent does change people and even if it didnt its not the type of music that spreads a good message in my opinion. Fight know i just realize how snotty this sounds, and its not what i intended, I just feel that if the so called christians at Mansons school hant made fun of him and had reached out to him things would have been different.

I really like this song alot but i've always wondereed what "it" was? Could it be popularity, cus i guess you could sorta buy popularity but then it says you cant take it or fake it soo then that idea sorta does not work. Could it represent Salvation exept hte part of where he said What's the prize if we won it? If we won it?? If any body has an idea or the time to read my bables it would greatly be appreciated! |

i dont know how to correct the WRONG lyrics posted by spmeone, but if your reading this, in the 2nd paragraph, its not "I’m giving up I’m doing this alone now" it really im giving up ON doing this alone now. there are other mistakes but this isthe one, in my opinon that mixed people up about the real meaning of the song. |
