I got into The X-Ecutioners from one of their other collaborations (It's Goin' Down featuring Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn from Linkin Park) and decided to look into some of their other stuff. I'm just thankful that I saw this post, because if I hadn't, I would have probably passed up a really good song. Let's just say that this song has justified my decision of looking into more of The X-Ecutioners' songs. Anyway, great song, haven't really gotten a chance to analyze exactly what it means yet. |

I don't really like hip-hop or rap, there are only a few artists in the hip-hop genre that I actually like (Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, sometimes Eminem when I'm in a shitty mood), but what I love about Linkin Park is that they're not just hip-hop, nor are they just metal or just electronica, every one of their songs has the perfect blend of many genres. I haven't heard much of the X-Ecutioners' work, but this song has inspired me to look for more. I think this song is awesome, and I'm not here to change anyone else's opinion on it, nor is anyone else going to change my opinion. As far as explaining the song's meaning, I think A2k's comment says it all. |
