Okay, so I'm aware the "right arm" refers to Matthew 5:27-30, but I'm not entirely clear on what it's supposed to mean in this context.. What is it that the song is speaking out against? I get that it's speaking out against "sexual immorality" or whatever you want to call it, but what type of sexual immorality exactly? Premarital / adulterous sex? But if it's referring to intercourse between two people ( because the song is saying the person is already "lying with" the woman), then why the right arm? Right arm, if put in a sexual context, immediately makes me think of masturbation, but you only need yourself for that, you don't need to "lie with" someone else to do it.. Or is there some sort of other sexual immorality I haven't thought of yet? Basically, I'm confused. Does anyone have any proper answers? |
