Great song about a soldier going to fight in a "Good old-fashioned war" as Dylan puts it and shunning the idea that there's nothing at all glorious at war. Dylan also performed this on Chicago radio station WFMT in 1963. |

Such a great song, about Dylan's time in New York. I love the lines; "Now a very great man once said That some people rob you with a fountain pen." The "great man" Dylan talks about is Woody Guthrie, who in his song "Pretty Boy Floyd" wrote... "Some will rob you with a six-gun, And some with a fountain pen" Great song by a great artist. //CrackedDisc\\ |

The title basically means "something's gonna happen", the Cuban missile crisis influenced this song alot. Dylan said on a radio show that each of the lines could be a song on it's own. Great stuff indeed, My favourite line is "Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters". This is referring to the lies that the media feeds to the people. //CrackedDisc\\ |
