well, fitzgerald I think we all get that there are political undertones and references to 9/11 and so on and so on, but the american revolution? "you get route 2 between concord and lexington, I get mass ave from the square to my apartment" yah you see, this is in itself a division of her home. she grew up here, where I live, in Lexington, MA. Route 2 heading to concord is the other direction from boston, where she resides now in the south. lexington is in the middle. she gets route 2 from cambridge ( freshpond turnpike) to exit 56, which is perpendicular to mass ave. he gets the lame part of route 2. concord doesn't have much going. neither does lexington. that's all. fun facts! p.s. the bank of boston once referenced to in bank of boston beauty queen here in lex, is now a t.d. bank north. sad times. however I parked in that lot the other day to go get some sushi across the street and there were still to my amazement a good amount of skate boarders. |

hah amanda is from my town. I know the exact parking lot she is referring to. I park my car there to go pick up take out. I use to work in the store next to bank of boston, and skateboarders use to be such a problem that there are light security guards there that kick landering kids out! great song. |

Alright. I've looked these comments over, and no this song is not about cutting. jesus. ok..here I go. This song could be about an official relationship, but I feel its more about just two people who have never really been together but have always been in love, for years. For one reason or another it always gets complicated and the two go through this cycle: build up/flirtation (this happens over a period of weeks, and consists of heartful conversations and falling in love) climax (spend a night together) confrontation (why isn't this going anywhere, why are you pushing me away?) retreat (after the one night or however long they get scared or nervous and dont speak for a long time.) and then it starts alllll over again and perpetually continues while both parties encounter other lovers that come and go, they never find one better or as permanent. |
