I think this song is falling in love, they both know its happening, but theres nothing they can do about it, maybe about two best friends. "Have you ever been alone in a crowded room? When I'm here with you I said the world could be burning and burning down" - you're alone with your thoughts, but the other person is always there in that room, and its so crowded, from all the thoughts of whoever it is, and this causes them to be so consumed with their thoughts that they would never notice a fire if they were in one. |

this song may be about a relationship, but to me it sounds exactly like my friendship with my best friend at the moment, i know things will tide over soon, but im not sure when. "there's nothing simple when it comes to you and i always something in this everchanging life and it probably always will now that time is getting harder to come by the same arguments are always on our mind we've killed this slowly fading light" there is really nothing simple in our friendship, and our lives are moving quicker then they ever have before, were both changing and maybe into different people, were finding it hard to spend time together and that might be sending us our separate ways, but all the time, i feel like arguing with her, its like thats all i can think of, is getting her farther away so i wont have to feel the emotional pain if i find a reason to be mad at her and push her away. Again, to me, this song is about seeing things differently and acting like a child. Just wanting to have fun and not let anything get in the way of life. This song is beautiful, and to me, It is about young love, and how they have known eachother for so long, and they would hate to have to separate (soon enough you'll hear the black top calling for you after that there is not much else you can do) but they know it would have to happen someday. I also have another view, It is the way Dan is seeing things, as he is so inlove, he starts acting like a child on the playground, fooling around, but then as everyone has before, getting all happy, and hyper, and then being disapointed. I dont know, but i know this is beautiful. |
