I'm pretty sure the lyrics at the end should be "so I can't see I'm wrong", NOT "so I can sing out loud". It makes sense if you remember that the song is about the ways we avoid facing truth our lives. It's easier to drown out the important lessons would should be learning by not ever facing our own thoughts (and God) in silence. But if we continue to drown out the message we should be listening to, we'll be unfulfilled; "we'll never learn to sing." |
