I really really love this song. Although, I'm not quite sure what it means. There are two things I think this song is about... I think it's about a father and his daughter who got into drugs, alchohol, etc etc. Hence the whole "You lost the soul You’re out of control Your demon siding with you No sense to your vice In plastic you hide I tried and I failed to teach you" And the whole flower part is about how he wanted her to grow up with him, to learn from him, and how he failed and wishes he could "change her" For the next part, "All I see anymore is history" is how it's too late to change her. My other guess would be that this is a love song. The whole first part would how she's in love with someone else, but she wishes she wasn't. He, the guy who is in love with her, wants to "teach her" that the guy she's in love with doesn't love her back, but rather that HE loves her. Again, the whole flower thing is about growing and learning with each other. I think it would be like, their first kiss, et etc. I don't know. |
