"It was dripping pitch and made of wood" I take this line to mean that her heart is easily set on fire, because pitch is flammable and wood will burn (oh my god wood burns? why didn't anyone tell me this?) perhaps ready to burn with the fiery passion of young love? =P as for this other line "baby cum angels" i hear the "baby" as seperate from the "cum angels" as in he is addressing some one. "baby, cum angels fly around you." the beauty of music, poetry or any art is that it is how you personally interpret it the piece that really matters |

ebowtheletter: i'm pretty sure the stepfather is abusive, there is an abusive stepfather (i.e. throws glasses and yells at his mom) in Dance Musice and also in Hast Thou Considered The Tetrapod there is an obvious father figure who is abusive. (i've also heard several people say that Hast Thou Considered The Tetrapod is supposed to be autobiographical) I don't know, there may be other such characters in his other music. that being said, this an awesome song |
