i think it could be about someone wanting to get off a drug problem, and he is asking for help. "I’m running in a wheel" it shows that every day is the same, you wake up just to want more, and you go to bed to just want more. and whe he finaly gets some, he goes into a dream state. and I need to find something to blame for a long lost time means that he has wasted so much of his life, and he wants to blame it on somthing, but he doesent know what to blame it on |

Just a thought, but what if its about someone that he cared for, and dident like him back beause he had a drug problem, but they were still together. and his GF died. hence the line "I shouldve been the one who died" |
