Rogue Wave – Lake Michigan Lyrics 18 years ago
I'm going to do it like this... I've read all the posts here and I'm going to compile their ideas and my ideas which I find to be true. The song is pretty bizarre. I came here to find out what it means and I am leaving just as confused because no one really knows what it's about.

First of all "Get off of my stack" I agree came from the similar notion of Pink Floyd's "Money" song. It's talking about stacks of MONEY... of greedy people, politicians (note the "right wing leaning politician" reference).

Secondly, I do believe that the entire second stanza is about world pollution. This one makes a little more sense. Kosk explains earlier that the same colored yellow uniforms are chemical workers dumping pollutants into Lake Michigan. Also, I believe when it says "at least we're warm" it is referring to global warming due to the lack of our responsibility towards the environment.

I like it alot. Catchy, and fun. And my boyfriend sings along to it too, which is a hoot.

Amos Lee – Colors Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is so beautiful, and when I put myself in the song, it reminds me of someone who I love that passed away. Although the verse doesn't really talk about someone who is dead, the chorus reflects that to me... "When you're gone, All the colors fade... No new years day parade." The colors do seem to fade when you lose someone you love so much, and there's no new years day parade because there's no reason to celebrate the new year without the one you love. Those are just my own personal thoughts on it.

Silverchair – Straight Lines Lyrics 19 years ago
I really don't know what it means... I think it might be about him getting straightened up... Hence the phrase walking in a straight line. Waking up sick, walking in a straight line, at the night time he is set on fire "performing"... Then the next morning "wake me up strong on the morning" he's even better... Who really knows what it means? I don't care, because I really love it. WAY TO GO SILVERCHAIR! WELCOME BACK. I'm so excited about the new album!
