This song is completly amazing. The second I heard it, it stole my heart forever. I think it's about somone Conor knew as a child who had some sexuality confusion and was ashamed of it but Conor loved them even more for being who they where. But then the person get frustrated then leaves angrily (maby commites suiside). The person is also spending large amounts of money for drugs, most likely heroin. Conor is glad for them getting away but at the same time is sad for leaving him all alone (And I'm glad you got away, but I'm still stuck out here). Something eventualy happends to the person and the people around them suffer the consicuenses and the persons brother consoles with Conor (My clothes are soaking wet from your brother's tears). Conor gets drunk and tries to write a song but when he does it doesn't give out the message he wants. Eventually, he gets better and realizes that the person is in a better place now (The sound of loneliness makes me happier). This song means a lot to me. It represents the relationship between me and my big brother almost like its telling our story up to now. This is what the lyrics mean if it was to go with it (with a few words changed): "Poison oak, some boyhood bravery When the telephone was a tin can on a string"(when we were kids we pretended that he was a superhero and I would call him with the tincan phone to come save me and he would like superman) "And I fell asleep with you still talking to me You said you weren't afraid to die" (We got older and he told me that he wanted to kill himself and he wasn't afraid of what God would do to him) "In Polaroids you were dressed in women's clothes Were you made ashamed? Why did you lock them in the drawer?" He became sextualy curious but a few months later he told me he was straight and he never wanted to talk about it again) "And I don't think that I ever loved you more" (I told him that no matter what he said he was, I would always love him) "Than when you turned away" (He talked to me only a little now) "When you slam the door" (He got into more fights with my Dad and slammed the door to his room, which was across from mine, all the time) "When you stole the car and drove towards Mexico"(He actually did this) "And you wrote bad checks just to fill your arm" (He began spending all his money and got involved with drugs) "I was too young enough, I still believed in war" (He said I was still too young to understand what he was goin though and my home life wasn't getting any better) "Let the poets cry themselves to sleep" ( I began to get more artistic and whenever I heard my brother come in at night drunk I would grab my cd and cry myself to sleep listening to it) "And all their tearful words could turn back into steam" (No matter how many times I listened to the songs I knew my problomes would still be there no matter what) "But me, I'm a single cell on a serpent's tongue" (I began to tell myself that I was worthless) "And there's a muddy field where a garden was" ( my relationship with my brother that was so strong and beautiful turned into the exact oppisite of what it was) "And I'm glad you got away, but I'm still stuck in here" (My brother turned 18 and was out almost all the time, he left in the morning and came back and midnight, but I was left behind and all alone now) "My clothes are soaking wet from your sister's tears" (I would cry to myself all the time and he wouldn't even know it) "And I never thought this life was possible" (I always thought that we would grow up as a normal family, but I guess I thought wronge) "You're the yellow bird that I'm still waiting for" (Im still waiting for him to aknowlage me again) "The end of paralysis, I was a statuette Now I'm drunk as hell on a typing keyboard pad" (I get drunk in my room and no one even knows it and I begin to type things) "And when I press the keys, it all gets reversed" (No matter what I write, I can't get my feelings out like before) "The sound of loneliness makes me happier" ( It ironic that I want to be alone all the time now. But wen it's quiet I get happy because I know that when I hear my brother come though the door when I can see him, I hope that things will be the same again. Like before.) |

This i most likely about the ghost who's leaving again and is looking down at the girl knowing that it didn't matter that he came in the first place because she didn't even listen to what he said. Overall best song ever! It's so amazing, it's like the perfect song to the end of a movie or possibly a life or something! Bravo AFS!! And there are some wronge lyrics: "They never heard one sound out of my mouth They never heard one sound" "They never heard one sound " |

| Mindless Self Indulgence – Faggot Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I agree with Fear_Of_Mole_Rats on page one. Who knows? It could be true. And this is one of my favoret songs by MSI, we play it all the time at my parties and everyone's either dancing, mosh piting (which turns my living room into hell), or having awsome angry gay sex in the guest room. | |

This is most likely Billy thinking back on his highschool life. P.S. What the fuck is with everyone correcting eachother?!?! We're writing down what the songs mean to us or what we think it's about so stop telling people there wrong when their writing down their thoughts and opinions! |

| My Chemical Romance – Disenchanted Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I forgot to put in what I thought it meant! I thimk it's supposed to be the patient nearing the end of his journey (it's the second to last song in the cd) and he's looking back on his life. "and when the light all went out, we watched our lives on the screen" The "light" is his life and he is talking about him being taken and looking at his life. "I hate the ending myself, but it started with an alright scene" He says he hates how he died so young, but thought that his life was okay when it started. It's kind of sad. When you listen to the song you could almost hear the mournfulness in it. | |

| I love this song! I actually cried when I first heard it, don't know why though. I just started tearing up! Has Geard ever explanded himself what the song means? | |
| My Chemical Romance – Mama Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Gerard Way said on Fuse that this song was for any mother who lost her son to the war (hence the character "Mother War") , but there's probably more meaning to it. THIS SONG FREAKIN' ROCKS! Reminds me of my relationship with my own Mom, except the "son" would be "daughter" for me! | |

| I love this song! I saw them at the warpe tour once and they rocked! | |
| Nirvana – Something in the Way Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Tis song was about teenage homelessness and about the things he saw when he was kicked out of his home (or ran away, can't remember). He actually did trap some animals and kept them as pets during this time. It's actually become legend that he lived under this bridge. if I ever find out where it is I'm going there before I die. | |

it's about people listening to his music and not getting the whole concept of it. They like the song and talk about it like they everything when actually they don't have a fucking clue about what it's supposed to mean. "We can have some more Nature is a whore Bruises on the fruit Tender age in bloom" I think that part is about how kids are being abused and at such a young age. |
