Boys Night Out – Yeah, No . . . I Know Lyrics 19 years ago
"someone call an ambulance cause something's not right
it's all going wrong tonight"- great beginning.

"it took time to fashion this noose from fine threads of self abuse
but it fits your neck perfectly
securely
your heels hit heavy on the hardwood
not that it did any good
my love, you've been a constant headache for me
if it came down to this act or one more near heart attack
you wouldn't have a hope in hell, my darling
it all comes down to this act."- great middle

"someone call an ambulance"- great ending.
i love the beginning beat.

Matchbook Romance – Lovers & Liars Lyrics 19 years ago
this song is simply genius. the beginning is powerful. i've always loved this song. but i find myself listening to it more now than ever.
you see,
someone really close to me did something that hurt me but i forgave him.
"Let's start out by starting over.
What did I expect?
You're no good at lying and I'm no good at comebacks.
You're so untouchable.
I'm oh-so-terrible at this.
I'm terrible at this, you know."
after he did that our relationship had to kind of "start over" in a way. it put a bump in our relationship. he always tells me how bad of a liar i am & how he can't ever have a comeback to the things i say.
"And I bet you've got every word I said memorized in your head.
And you'll use every one of them against me."
he thought i would use it against him. i won't :)
"All I want is an apology for what you did and how you treated me."
after he did what he did that's all i wanted to hear him say.
"Tell all your friends about me."
one time, as a joke, he told me that out-of-nowhere & i was shocked. it was a sign. now when i hear this song, i think of what happened & of course [him.]

Senses Fail – The Priest And The Matador Lyrics 19 years ago
for starters, i absolutely love Senses Fail. every song is spectacular & the lyrics are so catchy. i figured i'd leave a comment on this song since i'm opinionated about it & i find myself listening to it all the time. :)

[1] i think the guy in the song tries to kill himself. i mean he falls from something like a building. which i think coincidentally was a church since the priest was first to get to him. plus, this song deals a lot with religious symbols & what not.
[2] William Tell shot an arrow at an apple on his son's head meaning he had to prove himself. which may be what the guy in the song had to do. since he failed, it could've influenced him to kill himself.
[3] i think when he "fell" from the w//e he jumped off of, his arms were outstretched so his body fell "like a cross turned upside down."
[4] when the man comes to him he doesn't want anyone to help him or any sympathy. for god's sake, he tried to kill himself. reality has to settle in for him.
[5] "The ambulance is singing
As cops push back the crowd
I start to take my last breath,
As blood pours out my mouth.
The medics walk in my way
I think this could be it.
I hear them start to say
The time of death is half past six."

The Receiving End Of Sirens – Planning A Prison Break Lyrics 19 years ago
i'm in total awe by this song :]
"Planning a Prison Break" has to be one of the greatest songs ever. not only does it have a great beat but the lyrics are amazing. i listen to this song at least everyday & never get tired of it. & it gets me pumped.

meaning. let's see.
"Warden's calling for a lockdown": i think the warden is himself & he's trying to fix this inner problem [which might be him again.]
"Call on interim inequities": calling on things that aren't fair.
"Last night in my body; assist in the escape": now this part is where (after he realizes a change needs to happen) he separates himself so it's "the last night in my body" because it's his mind vs. his actions.
that's what i think.
but i love, love, love, love it. =]
