| Wilco – Pick Up The Change Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
I definitely don't want to rain on anyone's parade considering the comments here expressing their affinity for this perceived love song, but I have a different view. To me, it seems as if the subject of this song is seeing his relationship grow staler quicker than he would like. This girl, while physically attractive to him and even better than he thinks he deserves, has become predictable in his mind; perhaps he's referring to them becoming more and more similar in their negative personal aspects rather than their positive. Physical affection is still much desired, that much is apparent. But it seems as though it's shown that the two of them use it to distract themselves from the inevitable: they're both wondering if their lives would be better off without one another. When he says "Help me pick up the change", I'm imagining he's asking her to help them salvage the remains of the relationship rather than continue being together romantically and grow to dislike or even hate each other. But hey, who knows. The first time I played this album in full was moments before my girlfriend and I drunkenly and unamicably (apparently that's not a word) broke up a few weeks back, so my mind's still a little biased. |

| Sebadoh – Skull Lyrics | 12 years ago |

According to The Backstage Rider (http://backstagerider.com/2011/11/08/lemonheads/): "Fun fact: Sebadoh’s song 'Skull' was written about a night Lou Barlow and Evan Dando did hard drugs together." Looks like it backs up DJ47's post. |

| Queens of the Stone Age – A Song For The Deaf (Live) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I've heard segments of this song in a remix of the original Song for the Deaf. Is this on their Over The Years And Through The Woods album? | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – How To Handle A Rope Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It seems to me this song is about one having suicidal thoughts despite being "alright;" not bad, not good, but alright. Drugs probably have fueled these suicidal tendencies. | |

The correct lyrics are: "Go get your own Gimmie some more" |
