It's funny that you say that - I was driving home today and I heard him say, "you deserve the ignorance and bliss that I still wish I had" and it got me thinking about that's exactly what it's like for those who hide and cower behind the existence of a hopeful greater separate source so that they don’t have to deal with what exist within them - rather, they lay their sins down at an alter of a god who was created forthem, instead of taking 'personal responsablity' for each and every action and word you say. I love this song to no end. I love how he sings, "Don't say those words Don't say thos words" To me, when he says those words, it reminds me of how I speak negative things about myself and the damage it does. Life and death by the power of your tongue. ! :) Amazing these boys done done it again. Beautiful work once again. |

Listening to the lyrics of other songs on this Glorious new album, I concur that this song is dealing with the sin that still remains in this earthly vessel. I want to do those things that I should but the sin that remains keeps me from doing so. Oh who can set me free, but the love from Him? chris-n is right on about us being cought up in the material world. We are living in an age that calls evil good and good evil. |
