Glad to be in the 2009 listing.... "fall in love with my anger" is in William Shakespeare's "As You Like It" (Google) ---> "they are all pointless with no meaning" = Goodtimesbadtimes, you are retarded.... getashovelandDIG |

First, I don't think it's right to just call a band 'crap' without telling us why. If you don't like it, I get it. I effing hate coffee, but I don't want to kill every ('ball licker') who drinks it. I love the energy. I heard Cedric was against moshing, but this is not music you just lightly sway to, this is some killer sht. I just discovered ATDI a week ago, and did a bunch a Google-searchin since. I always look for a meaning in everything, but... I give up. Rather than finding a message in the lyrics, felt the meaning in the music. ----->I love the energy. |

| Taking Back Sunday – A Decade Under The Influence Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" -and I believe definition is too. To me (like anyone cares) this song is about a relationship with a girlontheside. You always have a bad feeling, but it happens, theres soo much to gain. Your girlfriend's friend a always the best contestant... so "to hell with you and all your friends this time" "I'm commi'n over" I know, I know.... | |

| To me, this is all about drugs, especially hallucinogens. He wrote songs on heroine before ("broke the needle off in my skin" -Let it Bleed). Secondly, how can it be about a kid and the pressures of growing up? The character was in a room by himself, paranoid of everything, seeing abnormal images (looking into a mirror is the worst thing to do on hallucins), and being sucked into a couch. I think Paranoid says it all. Being consumed by a mind altering substance (and having a bad trip) can be described by the name of the song. | |

this song upsets me. This is what money does to sweet bands. It make them losers. All of thier old crap, they knew what the were doing. They were upbeat, put thier drives into it, and they used thier instruments to much greater levels: pro. Now, they fit the dying artist scheme of what most people "want" to hear (as found by corprate reasearch done by people who dont even care for music). If you are a new listener, listen to thier old stuff. I miss the old fallout boy!!! |
