So i don't really know what the song means (lyke the rest of you, i guess) but to me i felt like adam is this tortured, lovestruck guy who really wants this girl, but no matter how hard he tries or how many times he tries to tell her, she just doesn't get it. I think there is a relationship there, but its just physical ("dull heat rises from the sheets, i'm both a patient boy and a jealous man.") or just shallow and he's waiting for her to come around, yet he's jealous of every other man she's with. He's trying to justify it all to himself ("and it's all to familiar & it happens all the time") and tell himself its not so bad and then at the end he's trying to let her know how he feels about her and he's asking her to just once listen to him. So thats just what i think....let me know if u agree. ; ) |
