To me, this song is pretty much about a girl whose friend is newly in couple and is completely blinded by the feelings love brings to him. He can't stop takling about it and nothing exists for him but his love. So the girl express her feeling of rejection - plus, the song suggest that the girl might be in love with the guy, but he just can't see it since he's only living for his own feelings; «Being in love in love», you know what I mean. Ani is absolutely genuis for writing such powerful lyrics and music, it's all very melancholic, and expresses feelings we all feel, but she is never cliché when she expresses that. Love that song, and I love this album ! |

| Brian May – Business Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Such an honor for me (!) to be the first one posting a comment about this great Brian May rock song... I was a huge fan of Queen when I bought Brian solo albums, Back to the Light and Another World. Those two albums are great, unfortunately they're pretty much unknown here in Canada. I love Brian's solo material because it's so catchy, so rock, although his lyrics reveals him as such a sensitive human person, who's insecure sometimes and wishes to have someone by his side. To me, that's what this song Buisness means. In this song, Brian screams his fears of being alone, facing his insecurites, not making the right choices, feeling that his hopes are gone, etc. But this song ISN'T just complaining, cause obviously, the man still has hope. The line "Are you thinking the same way too?" reveals his hope of going on in this world, metting someone who feels the same insecurites that he does. I think a lot of people can relate to that song, and I think it reveals the way of feeling of a very human person, which is beautiful. |

| Jewel – Break Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| To me this song is clearly about losing virginity. I percieve the sense of the title this way ("Break me"...). The song is very soft, very innocent - even the voice of Jewel sounds more innocent than usual. Lines like "I will let you undress me" and "You could hurt me using the sharp end of what you say/But I am lost to you now", those lines mean a sort of fear that she feels about her "first time", and the line: "Now that I've let go and lost control" means a sort of confidence she's getting slowly, and the fact that she's learning to let go herself and enjoy the moment. I don't percieve the meaning of the song in another way. | |
