Yeah I can see that but even if so, you can't just hope something is going to just fix your life. You have to do that yourself and the belief of or in god is just really a hope that there is a better tomorrow and that you need to somehow get there yourself, not a force that is going to magically fix you or make you feel better about yourself or something.
I mean I don't know the circumstances of what happened so it could be a complete tragedy that made this guy incapable of helping himself which is understandable in a sense. I'm not religious nor do I believe in god but if believing in something helps people get through their shit then who am I or anyone else to talk shit about it. It's just people who try to shove religion down someones throat like its the answer to everything, some people can't or don't want to blindly believe in something and have to live a certain way.
Also something I find a bit weird is that another song on this album, "No Pity For A Coward" seems to be about how committing suicide is a cowardly act and that it's stupid and not the answer to someones problems....or it could just be about that nobody cares or wants to hear about so hurry up and do it....idk suicide silence seems to like to have a view about something and then flip around on it.

This song is about his dads death, he was an alchoholic, well thats at least what I'm told from the lead singer's(scott?) cousins(jason) girlfriends(kelly) brother(steven), who happens to be my best friend
