Tim misses a note in this song somewhere. I can't remember where it is, though, and it's really pissing me off. |

| Reel Big Fish – She's Famous Now Lyrics

Aaron claimed on Our Live Album Is Better Than Your Live Album that this song was about him going out with Gwen Stefani. Although it's quite possible, since they were both in CA ska bands in the early/mid 90's and Reel Big Fish remained relatively unknown while No Doubt went on to become...well, No Doubt. Anyone know anything about this? |

Why did you sell out, Gwen? This song is so much better than Holla Back Girl, and I think she knows it. |

| The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – The Rascal King Lyrics

I wish the Bosstones' hiatus would end. They're definitely my favorite band. And in case anyone was wondering, Dicky is currently the announcer on Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel. So if someone would just kill jimmy kimmel, he would have no choice but to reunite with the 'Tones and make all right in the world again.

Streetlight Manifesto occasionally covers this song live. Its as good, if not better than the original. I'd highly suggest looking it up on youtube. |

| Goldfinger – Superman Lyrics

This was the song that got me into ska. I bought hang ups in third grade, and i've never been the same. By the way, Goldfinger has a new album coming out this year with their old guitarist. Hopefully we'll be hearing some more of this soon. |

| Less Than Jake – All My Best Friends Are Metalheads Lyrics

Quite possibly LTJ's most danceable song. I saw them on the Circus Of Idiots And Addicts tour, during which the had a giant wheel (wheel of fortune style) which they spun to determine which song they would play next. Things got pretty nuts when the wheel landed on this one. |

| Less Than Jake – She's Gonna Break Soon Lyrics

I think this song marked the true paramount of Less Tha Jake's downfall. I mean, it got RADIO play. It makes me sad to see a band as good as LTJ sink to crap like this. And what's even sadder is that Chris (their lead singer) AGREES with me. The last time I saw them was after in with the out crowd came out, the entire album being pretty close to this song, and he said, i quote: "So, yeah, our new album is fucking awful. I got really wasted once and listened to it and i was like 'yeah, man, that's awesome', and then i listened to it again the next day and... ugh. It's just a terrible album. Anyways, this is the only good song off of it." They then proceeded to play A Still Life Franchise, which is, I'll admit, a pretty good song.
LTJ, rest in peace. And keep playing old songs live. |

This song is so great. I think streetlight's new album is going to be more like this song than anything else Tomas has written, since he said in an interview that he would be experimenting with "Gypsy music and eastern european influences", what with him being born in Prague and all. |

| Operation Ivy – Vulnerability Lyrics

This is definitely my favorite punk song by op ivy. The lyrics basically have the same message as Ray Bradbury's Farenheit 451, especially with the line "why stop and think when you can find some place to go?" My favorite part of the song is definitely at the end, beginning with "And sympathy..." I had to do this thing last year in english where we had to bring in a song with poetic lyrics, so I naturaly brought in this one. And of course, my spirits were crushed when everyone in my class was like" EW WAT IS THIS IS SUX LOL PUT ON CHAMILLIONARE" Oh well. Fuck the radio. |

| Streetlight Manifesto – We Are The Few Lyrics

This is one of the best songs on the album, my favorites being either this or Point/Counterpoint. And by the way, it's not about being in a car crash, breaking up with a girlfriend, catch 22, etc. I think this song is a letter written to God (hence: Dear Mr. Gepetto, since God is controlling all humans, his puppets) and even going so far as to saying that "You'll be crucified for all of the things you try to do."It's about all of the hardships which we face here on earth (here in hell), which he spends the rest of the song entailing then goes on to entail all of the different things we deal with as humans. On an unrelated note, does anyone know when the new album is coming out? |
