Gah, this song is pretty much my favorite. The first time I heard it was two weeks after one of my best friends killed himself. I've got somewhat of an emotional attachment to this song. And the video is amazing! And when they sang it at YC this year, man I was so excited and defiently almost cried. And I bought a shirt that's grey and says "WE STARTED AT ZERO" in yellow. And they signed it. Anyway, yeah...I love this song. |

I'd have to say at the moment, this song means more to me than any other song. There's just something about it, I saw Anberlin in concert just about a week ago and when they pulled out their accoustic guitars and started playing this, I was on cloud nine. Amazing song, amazing lyrics, amazing band. And his voice is melt-your-face amazing in this song. |

"Theres more to living than being alive."
Probably some of the most impactful and meaningful lyrics I've heard to date. Makes me think about my own life and if I'm living it the right way or am I just being alive? Yeah. |

I personally love that Anberlin, which is a Christian band, isn't shoving religion into their lyrics. It's refreshing, 'cause as much as I love Christian music, it gets to be a lot after awhile. I love how you can connect Anberlin lyrics to Christ and Christianity if you take the time and think about it, but it's not straight up and apparent. |

Ah; this song is actually one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It's made me think, it's made me smile and it's made me cry. I'm absolutely in love with the signature line in both this song and Dismantle.Repair -- "I am the patron saint of lost causes." But, I'd have to say that my favorite part of this song is after the chorus. The part where he's singing "Take what you will, what you will and leave. Could you kill, could you kill me?" I love the last line of that, "This is not heaven, this is my hell."
Pretty much; I just love this song. A lot. |
