this song is about self-medicating. to professionals, this would be called prescription drug addiction/abuse. the person in the story used to be so unhappy. they are sick of this perfect image they are supposed to embody(The first to let us know she is not the perfect woman), and they are sick of everything that is wrong in the world (toothless dentists, cops that kill) so they turn to pills to make everything bad go away. doctor blind refers to some oblivious 'doctor' who is supplying her with the pills. he doesnt care what is actually wrong, he just writes her prescription after prescription |

yes this song is about drugs. to anyone ever involved in drug culture, so many of the lines here are so obvious. "Get straight and wait here while I try to find the exit sign" = wait here and act as sober as possible while i try to figure out how to leave here without getting caught like that?? |
