i too saw the making of the video.. scott told that the friend he was talking to was him.. he was talking to himself whom he taught for a while he already knew... and then he found his true self just like meeting himself for the first time. its a song of being glad being one with yourself and your mind or soul. i think the faceless man is scott. sometimes scott talks of himself as a different individual like in "Hello my friend we met again" in the My Sacrifice song, the friend scott was refering there was himself.. (Scott told in an interview in making the video... about finding ones self) and i believe the man on the water is Jesus wherein scott is getting inspiration. So scott is trying to find his 'face' by by living the rigth ways and making Jesus as his light. |

Creed's songs always have deeper meanings behind the lyrics. this song tells of a story of a man who has a heavy burden who thought that God had forgotten him because he seems to see no light.. (as stated in the opening verse) however, in the refrain, God answered him back and told him not to despair in life and not to stop believing in HiM and to have a strong faith.. God told the man and everyone of us who are facing the same situation "Children Dont Stop Dancing" (dancing, taken not the literal meaning.. and children here is US, since we are the children of God). To be strong no matter "what life brings". moreover, God told the man that if he would just believe and remove all doubts, the man can do anything because of GOD.. even the impossible.. " Believe You Can Fly." |
