@WalkOnWaterOrDrownx - College can be a rough place to "keep the faith," I'm glad to hear you're thriving. It's a place you have to really be diligent about your beliefs (I struggled in college). =) Just a word of advice for you: it's not love of faith that will get you anywhere, just try to get to know Jesus more. Maybe it's just a wording difference, but I'd encourage you to get to know Jesus as much as possible, and let Him love you. Nothing matters but Jesus & religion will get you confused. It's all about Jesus. Rest in God's Love! |

i'm surprised no one noticed this (not really surprised by the people who can't spell 'conor' correctly, though. it's cool though. sorry i'm mean.), but the title gives up a little more about his point of view. if you look he says You Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. I think when he puts the question marks after the "you" the last three times he's referring to the question he made earlier. "are you the love of my lifetime? because there's been times i've had my doubts." he's saying "You?" like, is it you that i'm talking too. plus i'm pretty sure he just wants everyone to think about things more than usual. you can't listen to this song and now have some questions. |

i also wanted to agree with williambleak. didn't you guys know you can define your own word on urban dictionary? the fact that at the end of the definition it quotes this song just puts the final nail in the freakin coffin. (if the very beginning of the definition didn't tip you off).
anyway i also wanted to say that, yeah, it's fun to try to figure out what conor meant for himself- but at this point in all of our lives i think everyone has made up their opinion of what it means for himself or herself. i don't think you guys necessarily care what i believe this song means, because you have your own views. that's how i feel anyway. i mean, i like seeing how everyone has been touched by this song (or hates it), but it's not going to sway my P.O.V. it's just one of those songs. it's not like The Story of Hurricane or something. that has very specific historical facts. this one is more abstract. it's a beautiful poem that can mean the world to everyone in their own way. |

my best friend introduced me to conor by making me listen to this song so many years ago. he's loved bright eyes since forever and now i have too. it meant so much to me when i didn't understand myself when i was a confused teenager. i understood every word he spoke. no words were missed. no apologies were needed. hooray for teen angst being over. ha! |
