| In most of the songs, Christ is mentioned one way or another,specifically "A Stick, A Carrot, and A String." Maybe he's just a bit more open-minded to other religions, and I agree that his parents' religion had to have a major influence in his writing. But I think he's still wanting his parents, and others, to see that Christ is God. It kind of reminds me of Four Word Letter pt Two. | |

King David killed Uriah because he wanted his wife Bathsheba, whom he spied on from his rooftop while he was king. Its great! Samuel was the prophet who anointed David as king. |

This song is amazing! Obviously about God and how He loves and adores. I love the part where the Beetle King goes off describing to his children how God is really their Father. Its amazing! Ah so amazing! Its a bit funny "I had a go with your mom and your form was conceived." In another video for the song I heard him say "I had sex with your mom and your form was conceived." I wonder which he'll end up using in the album. |

The first verse set symbolizes the church's covetous desires. We have received all that we ever need in the blood of Christ, in our freedom through Christ, but today's American church will literally read between the lines looking for those verses that say they will be prosperous with money, and they will be rich, when Jesus Christ preached contrary to that. The second verse is still about the church, the whole cd is about the church by the way, about how we don't have faith in God to provide what we need, but we look to the world to provide the things we want but don't need. The church is selfish and is greedy, but they say its God. They prefer the life of the world than the life given to us by Christ. They don't have faith that God will provide exactly what they need, but are ashamed because they think that that kind of life isn't worth living. Its a shame. The last little part about buying a husbands jealous love i think is a prophetic warning to those preachers and pastors who preach prosperity, deceiving the bride of Christ. The whole whore/son thing is just describing who the church is. We are whores, we are prodigals, but God makes us new and will care for us. |

Matthew 13.45 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. 46 When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!" The merchant being us, choice pearls are all the things in the world that we look to gratify us, and the pearl of great value being God. The parable means, in my opinion, that when one finds God truly he will get rid of everything and anything that keeps him from owning that pearl/knowing God. I think Aaron Weiss has in the past been open about a relationship he was in, so the she could actually mean that girl. I don't know him or his past relationship so I can't say for sure what happened. |
