this is a cool song, if a little overplayed. nice message, though :) quick question: (well, a couple) Is this from the movie soundtrack or the broadway one? and what's going on at this point in the broadway one? i know this is seasons of love part a, which comes shortly after "Happy New Year" on side 2.......if anyone kknows, let me know thanx |

hang on---is it "something that i've heard" or something that i've had" guess i always thought had...could b wrong, it's just what i hear.... this is seriously my favourite off IYH, def. one of my favourites by the foo fighters, and may b even my favouri5e song. depends on the mood. ps- y does it matter if foo fighters or nirvana are better? Most of the time they've got totally different styles. they're both awesome. i mean, come on. YOU try comparing "there's nothing left to lose" or IYH to "nevermind" or "nirvana". good luck. |

i was just sitting listening to this song, when i realized that it completely relates to a situation with a friend of mine. I was really (chronically) depressed for a while, and thats actually how we became friends..he told me that he was like the school's unofficial councilor, and that he could help me. He had been through a lot too("my scars remind me that the past is real"), so he said that he could kind of relate.... ..we became pretty good friends, but ill admit it, i did some pretty stupid things, and he wound up getting hurt by it.....("you channelled all your pain, and i can't help you fix yourself..") ...now there's this gap, and he actually told me that he doesn't want to hear "every little problem"...that basically i can't alk to him like before. ("i can't help you fix yourself, but at least i can say i tried...now im sorry but ive gotta move on with my own life..") now he doesn't seem to want to even be around me. i may be completely off base, but that's just how it is for me. ps- awesome song |

yeah, i agree, definitely domestic abuse this song makes me so sad sometimes, esp. since 1 of my friends was supposedly having a problem with this around the time I first heard this song.....but its an awesome song. great lyrics and music |

god, i freakin love this song. its the song that got me into my chem one of those that i didnt get, then listened to the lyrics...thought there's gotta be a story behind this... not to mention that its freaky how i can realte to it a lot of the time... one question though (my mom brought this up): what's up with the whole "jumping off the second floor" thing? That's what makes think there's a story behind it. Please someone help explain |
