More evidence for it being based on a real relationship: "His poor parents were still very concerned about him. Especially because after he left Bedales [at 16], he started dating a 39-year-old man." I just looked up the lyrics on Myspace and they're all good apart from "he said my heart is faithful to mines regret (?)" is "He said 'my heart is fate' well mine's regret" and (this is really minor) it's "our dead love" not "a dead love" Love this song so much! It really captures the way you can't imagine ever letting someone go and the way even the idea of that terrifies you. |

| As regards the Killers thing, my dad says they copied the line "And I'm phoning a cab/'cause my stomach feels small" with the line "Now they're going to bed/and my stomach is sick" but it's quite subtle. Quite similar, but not enough to say they ripped it off. Musicians do that kind of stuff all the time. | |
