This was my song when I got depressed and my best friend "didn't like my attitude" and stopped talking to me. But then again she's not a very good friend. But on with the meaning.If you've ever listened to this song and didn't get the impression of anger, then you had better listen to it again. This is about someone who feels trapped, smothered, and is SICK of it. "Everything you say to me puts me one step closer to the edge and I'm about to break! I need a little room to breathe 'cause I'm one step closer to the edge and I'm about to break!" Get it? But anyway- definate anger. |

This song is pretty obvious. The person is undoubtedly depressed. Trust me. When you're depressed everything you do is wrong, and everything is overwhelming, and you are (duh) NUMB! Not physically. emotionally. Psychologically. So they didn't live up to someone ELSE's expectations for them, and they feel like a loser because of it. So- like I said, this person is depressed, and all they want is to be their own person, instead of what other people want them to be. Don't I know how that feels. |

People! Song MEANINGS! Now- this song is about someone like me. Always ridiculed, always an outcast. Everything they do seems like the wrong thing. Everyone hates them, and no one makes an effort to understand them. This person is sick of it. Fed up. So they've finally cracked, and all they want to do is make the whole world get that they're a person too!!!! Therefore, "I won't be ignored!" This song and numb are both eerily similar to my life. |
