I love Wolfmother, and can see all the Led Zep/Deep Purple/Black Sabbath comparisons, but the riff from Woman is pilfered from Queen's Tie Your Mother Down, and just made a bit heavier. |

One of the most powerful songs in existence. It appears to be about a person who is in some sort of deep coma or something, as he's apparently withdrawn into himself, and no one seems to know why, though as the song suggests, its from disillusionment with the world and all of the horrors therein, such as being subject to the rules of others (this is my life, I'll decide not you). I think the person, while in in their unreachable mental state, sees and experiences death, and is unafraid, and when he comes out of his 'coma' he's no longer afraid of death, (unlike most people, who fear it greatly) and thus, when dies, and he goes beyond the realms of death, as death no longer holds any sort of fearful grip over him. So this person has essentially conquered death. |

I've never heard this song before...I know that the first three lines are also part of another Queen song, Breakthru. |

I would say this was Freddie accepting his fate in this song, but seeing as stejsmith pointed out it was for Mr.Bad Guy, I guess not, but it does fit well, so I can see why its on the band's final album. When I first heard this on The Very Best of Freddie Mercury Solo, I really didn't like it, but when I head the version from the Made in Heaven album, I fell in love with it...Brian's guitar and Roger's drums just add so much more to it, and Freddie's vocals are, as always, amazing. |

I actually like this song...I love how the vocals go between Freddie and Roger=)...I like all of Roger's songs, they're fun, and even if they don't make sense, they shouldn't have to; Freddie and Brian were the songwriting masters in the band. *nods* |
