I heard somewhere this was about the Falklands War, but I'm not sure how it is about that, if indeed it is. Does anyone know where one might lay one's mitts on a copy of the extended version, where the end bit keeps on going and going? They play it on the radio all the time. I must have that version!! |

I agree, I think it probably is about Curtis. Originally I thought it might be about Tony Wilson of Factory Records, because he was the one who gave Joy Division (and therefore New Order) their break, but I think that was largely because I first heard it when it was used at the end of 24 Hour Party People. A powerful song... |
