| Social Distortion – Don't Drag Me Down Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I know for a fact that this song is an anti-racist anthem (focusing particularly on white racism). But for every verse that makes it so, I inerpret as a rise-up anthem for whites. "Have you ever been ashamed and felt society try to keep you down?" I can relate this verse to the world wide struggle of White Guilt. Our schools teach us of the atrocitties commited by whites to the rest of humanity, and they put so much emphasis into black history month, and Martin Luther King JR. to the point where the teacher is ready to hand every white student in the classroom a loaded gun and advise them to shoot themselves. So I see whites everywhere overexerting themselves in an effort to disassociate themselves from the sins of their "kkk granddaddy" "Your history books are full of lies, media-blitz gonna dry your eyes Have you ever been afraid, and felt society try to keep you down?" Again, this verse (to me) explains how the jew-media misinforms the public with their pro-Irael, anti-white propganda. And our textbooks are filled with text that emphasizes on manifest destiny and turns whitemen into monsters, when everyone in the world since the begining of time has done the same things the white pioneers did over and over and over... including the native Americans! |

| Straylight Run – Who Will Save Us Now? Lyrics | 18 years ago |

it's a stab at corrupted politicians, and at the people who blindly follow them. I like this song, because everything said in it is true, but I also hate it because it's message seems to be learning torwards "Anti-Government" as a solution, which I am against. Every nation needs laws and people who will enforce them. "Everyone wants all their dreams and wishes to come true by some magical fate, instead of working for it themselves. They want their government and church to make their lives easier." The pilgrims (founders of The United States of America) were suffering from religious persicution back in Europe. America's very existance is a result of people who followed their dreams. Because of them we can be Republicans, Democrats, Christians, Muslims, heterosexuals, homosexuals, white or black and still be treated equally. We have alot of freedom in this country, the problem is, people want more and more, and lately they want too much. Yes people want their government to make their lives easier, EX. I want Tom Tancredo to get elected, because I believe he will take action against our country's illegal immigration problem, something I can't do anything about. In the end it isn't about what people are willing to do, it's more about what we're capable of doing. |

| Cap'n Jazz – Ooh Do I Love You Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think sweatersdotcom was 100% right on with with his/her idea of the song meaning, however I interpreted the line "we're all smiles seeing reptiles", and "birds in bars" as caging animals (behind bars), rather than birds actually hanging out and drinking in bars lol | |
| Hot Cross – Pretty Picture of a Broken Face Lyrics | 19 years ago |

all the correct lyrics are there above, but heres the exact arrangement. (What have you become?) If the past were photographs, I'd tear them all up into shreds. I found my way back there (Just the prettiest picture of) If our exchange of words was free I'd type another to the wind. (a broken face with a third) I found my way back there (with a third of the appeal and) One last wish for one lasting good-bye. (never worth the chase) I found my way back there No one here will miss you when you're gone. (with a third of the appeal and) I found my way back there (never worth the chase) (no no no no) Make your selection (no no no no) Another one will come along (no no no no) Make your selection (no no no no) Another one will come around (no no point in steering now) (The brakes are out and the search for interests or boy meets girl is the counterculture clock ticking out a song that paints the shadow of this world. The lights are brighter when the game is new, and though I've tried, I wish I could say the same for you. The lights are brighter when the game is new, and though I've tried, I wish I could say the same for you.) (Don't forget that when you cease to see things the way you want to, it's the least important people that come back to haunt you.) |

| The Promise Ring – Raspberry Rush Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I don't know what any of their songs are about so Im not even going to take a shot at it, but this song kinda reminds me of being at Disneyland on the Ferry "Mark Twain" and looking for animals and Indians on the banks of "Rivers Of America". It sounds crazy, and I'm not suggesting that's what the song is about at all, but anyone who has been to Disneyland in California and has been on the ferry should know exactly what I'm talking about. | |
| Braid – Circus Of The Stars Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| yea I agree with redandbluejeans, it's about the songwriter not being able to tolerate the presence of his friend/girlfriend/family member because of their drug problem. | |
| Brand New – Okay I Believe You, but My Tommy Gun Don't Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song (like most of Brand New's songs) is truly awesome, however alot of you are giving Jesse way too much credit, there isn't much complexity to this song. I'M HEAVEN SENT, DON'T YOU DARE FORGET. I AM ALL YOU'VE EVER WANTED, WHAT ALL THE OTHER BOYS ALL PROMISED. Pretty self explanitory.. he's speaking to a girl on how he's everything that other boys only claim to be, it's true he's being cocky. | |
