I actually appreciate the bare-bones, straight-to-the-point approach of Rammstein's lyrics here. They've definitely decided they're not gonna write some Tool-ish "deep ass" lyrics here (no offense to Tool as I'm a Tool fan myself) but at the same time, come up with something that can be considered a quite 'simple' work of art.
Given Rammstein's political nature over the years, I'm assuming this song is some kind of tribute to a political c**k-sucking problem with the government or something like that...albeit done much more blatant than usual. |

There's actually two meaning of this song for me. One would be the obvious one...the eye of God watching everything he (Basti) does.
The other one is that this song maybe about the effects of the drug, crystal meth...otherwise known to us Filipinos as shabu...all those words he's saying about what's happening to him...very much like what would happen to you if you're under the effects of shabu. |
