this was one of my favorite songs when i FIRST started listening to bright eyes, its a bit over done now but still an amazing song. my favorite lines are: "Love's an excuse to get hurt. And to hurt. Do you like to hurt? I do! I do! Then hurt me." which really just translates to, "... then love me" |

He wants to be 'earth' to her. Make her ultimately happy. "Stirring the sky, every color at once in a column of light, bacteria breeds in a microscope slide" -> those are all negative things so it must mean something went wrong. "Don't adore what's impossible" -> don't get your hopes up for something that's IMPOSSIBLE. "The worm in my heart is the apple of your eye" worms and apples connect. I personally LOVE the part of the warped instruments and, it sounds really trippy. |
