Blink-182 – All the Small Things Lyrics 18 years ago
To be fair, the media do usually label them as "punk", and most of their fans seem to think they are. But yeah I dunno why he commented saying that.

Oasis – Little James Lyrics 18 years ago
"This song goes to prove that this guy is absolutely rounded and the best musician since John Lennon in my opinion"

And comment is proof you don't know what the fuck you're on about.

Oasis – Shakermaker Lyrics 18 years ago
It's not about anything lol. A bit Lennonesque with some of the psychedelic stuff. Really like it though, the video's quality too, especially the way Liam gives that sarcastic look as he sings the "Shake along with meeeeee"

Fergie – Glamorous Lyrics 18 years ago
fuck this shit

Sex Pistols – Anarchy in the U.K. Lyrics 18 years ago
I always thought it said "I use the inner me" not "the enemy" but whatever, top song. Don't need me to explain what it's about, its obvious.

The Beatles – Rain Lyrics 18 years ago
What the hell is about, though? I've got a vague idea but can't really explain it.

The Verve – This Could Be My Moment Lyrics 18 years ago
This is probably my favourite Verve song. I think it's about him liking a girl and he knows she likes him too but is for some reason fighting it ("Is there something in my love that you really hate") and the song is telling her that she should give him a chance (i know it feels good and i know you should try me)

Oasis – D'You Know What I Mean? Lyrics 18 years ago
The song's alright, video's awesome.

David Bowie – Boys Keep Swinging Lyrics 18 years ago
Bowie at his best, always reminds me of messing around with mates and just generally being boys.

submissions
David Bowie – Young Americans Lyrics 18 years ago
Yeah, I noticed that Beatles reference too. No idea what the meaning of it is though. Love the distortion on the Have you have been an un-American? bit.

submissions
Elton John – I Want Love Lyrics 18 years ago
LOL it's nothing to do with him being gay. He didn't write the song, anyway, it was probably Benie Taupin who wrote it.

submissions
Oasis – Stand By Me Lyrics 18 years ago
Ben E. King didn't invent the words "Stand By Me" though, so I don't see why they shouldn't use it.

submissions
Chuck Berry – Roll Over Beethoven Lyrics 18 years ago
Better than Johnny B. Goode, in my opinion.

submissions
Chris De Burgh – Spanish Train Lyrics 18 years ago
This is gay

Wham! – Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go Lyrics 18 years ago
Bloody brilliant. There's bound to be some sort of meaning behind it, like the ones other people have suggested, but I can't really tell what it's about. Always puts a grin on my face when I hear it though/

Oasis – Live Forever Lyrics 18 years ago
Quality song, don't get me wrong, I love it, but it's not one of the best 10 ever. And they're not better than the Beatles.

submissions
David Bowie – Ziggy Stardust Lyrics 18 years ago
It's not "about" Hendrix, IMO, but parts of it are inspired by Hendrix (he played it left hand) and other rock stars, aswell as it being party autobiographical. All of those things together make Ziggy Stardust. Thats just my take on it.

Either way, it's the best song ever, in my opinion.

submissions
The Beatles – Here Comes the Sun Lyrics 18 years ago
Apparently George wrote it when he wasn't enjoying recording, and it's about when he left the studio ready to go home.

submissions
Bauhaus – Ziggy Stardust (David Bowie cover) Lyrics 18 years ago
Does the original justice. Bowie's one is probably slightly better, but I don't think it matters.

submissions
Elton John – Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Lyrics 18 years ago
One of the best songs ever, and I don' think I'm getting carried away by saying that.

submissions
Bob Dylan – Mr. Tambourine Man Lyrics 18 years ago
I like that idea, surrogatehobby. That's kinda what it means to me aswell, but you put it in words far better than I could've.

submissions
The Kinks – Apeman Lyrics 18 years ago
The "I think I'm so educated and I'm so civilised cos I'm a strict vegetarian" is a dig at the hippy culture of the time, I think. Great song though, and the over all meaning is pretty simple.

submissions
The Kinks – Waterloo Sunset Lyrics 18 years ago
Fucking mega. Reminds me in some ways of Strawberry Fields Forever, About places they go in their heads to escape from everything. M

submissions
The Twang – Wide Awake Lyrics 18 years ago
That seems more likely, actually.

submissions
Oasis – Supersonic Lyrics 19 years ago
It doesn't mean anything, it's nonsense lyrics, and it wasn't written with the intention of being anything more. As Noel said, he was just playing about with words.

submissions
Vanessa Carlton – A Thousand Miles Lyrics 19 years ago
The guy from White Chicks sings it better

submissions
John Lennon – God Lyrics 19 years ago
Zimmerman = Bob Dylan, so he doesn't believe in him in the same way he don't believe in Elvis or the Beatles.

submissions
The Twang – Wide Awake Lyrics 19 years ago
Surprised I'm the first to comment on this. Not really sure what it's about, at a guess I'd say it's about someone who has a one night stand and feels guilty about it, but I'm probably wrong. Good song though.

submissions
Razorlight – America Lyrics 19 years ago
Very bad. Completly over rated song, the words mean absolutly nothing.

submissions
Chuck Berry – Johnny B. Goode Lyrics 19 years ago
Comrade Liar pretty much said what I was gonna say.

submissions
Oasis – Stand By Me Lyrics 19 years ago
Shoulda been on Stop the Clocks without a doubt. Probably Oasis' best.
