I dont think this can only mean the coldness of a relationship that has had its time.
I'm in a situation at the moment that isnt like this, ad this song seems to define it.
We want to be together, we have had a will they wont they relationship for an entire year but everytime we touch each other we are still so far away.
'how hopeless we've become' because we are the best of friends but both are scared of losing this and there are so many complications as soon as we become close we are still so far away.
thats my opinions anyway...obviously Chris Hall may have been thinking something completely different.

I first told someone i loved them when they were feeling like they wre the shittest person on the planet and that nobody cared about them, i flet like it was the right time to let them know they meant EVERYTHING to me, even if they felt like they were nothing. I'm guessing that this song is about the same kind of situation, or thats what i relate it to anyways. |

I'm not even sure they are lovers, maybe just people, who are enjoying themselves. just acting as young people do. dancing, taking drugs, not caring etc. I do know for sure though thats its one of my favourites. I love the chanting of baby, at the begining! |

I just got a feeling that it was about a guy that is completely hopeless, into drugs, kinda messed up, and she is a more dominant person, grabbing him by the throat and telling him she loves him, even though he is a sick boy (issues etc). it seems as if he is teling her she could do better so she grabs him and says but she loves him :S
It probably is more about the band or whatever, but that was what i thought before i read these threads. |

I'm not a big green day fan, i like the odd song here and there, but this is my favourite. I like the fact he is telling someone just how much he will be there for them. it is simple but thats what's great about it, it also seems to me like his voice sounds as if its just your average person singing it to someone. |

I LOVE the video for this, when it dies down and they totally command the crowd to stop..then it kicks in and they all go for it again, makes me want to be there. I'm not a total slipknot fan, I like a few songs from each album, but I do agree they are NOT sell-outs, half the problem these days is, a band gets a big following and people call them sellouts. They cant really win can they? A lot of people that dislike slipknot have never actually listened properly to the songs. Also, To the person who mentioned why do you like listening to people screaming at you. I personally dont like screamo bands, but these are not your hardcore screamo, they are simply shouting with the anger and venom they feel. its not what i consider screamo. |

Well i do like this song, and yes i usually like songs that have some lyrics i can relate to or feel what they were feeling, but this song, i do too.
When i here this song it reminds me of the way i am seen by many people, and have actually had quite a few guys tell me this song reminds them of me. i'm fun and crazy, and love sex, (i dont mean a whore that sleeps around) just that its part of me, and this song makes me think about all thefun times i have had being crazy, havin sex, fun etc. also, i find it quite a compliment that guys think of me when they hear a song. its not that awful, and certaintly isnt promoting promiscious underage sex, its simply, to me, a song about a woman who is independant and sexual and thats not a bad thing to be! |

i think he is saying to wait for him because he is off doing his own thing and in a world of craziness and she is the thing that keeps him grounded, not quite sure what he would do without her. I have a guy like this, always comes back to me when he needs to be brought back down, and who knows what would happen if i wasnt there 'dead again'.

This song to me, makes me feel just like the kiss he talks about should. I get shivers hearing it. I also like this guy who likes kill hannah too, and sings this acoustically, he has lips like morphine without a doubt, the kind that blow you away and you're left wanting more. hmmm, wish mine had the same effect on him!
I agree, though that its the best song, and something you can get totally lost listening to. |

The guy I am in love with introuduced me to Kill Hannah, they are AMAZING. This song reminds me of him. I know to many people they think of an angel as being a woman, but he is my crazy angel. He is indeed insane and self destructive, it's part of what I love about him. It has a great tune behind it aswell, and always makes me want to dance.
The lyrics 'I'll hold on so hard and pray
that I won't say something wrong', mean a lot too. I screwed up with him big time and am i hoping that in future i wont say something wrong, and want to keep him this time.
I also agree, its a shame for Kill Hannah they arent bigger, they deserve recognition but on the other hand, songs then become overplayed and then i get sick of them. |

Well, i heard this song years ago, but totally forgot it existed until aguy i have a big thing for played it one night. He loves savage garden, and yes he can sing along to it, although he is a singer.
It means a lot when i see him and hear this song, its all so very true. I dont think its justsexual, but passion too. When i see this guy its exactly how i feel, 'i want you, i dont know if i need you'. He indeed is a 'human cannonball' he shot right into my life and hit me with a big thud. We have had 1 or 2 encounters, but while hoping for another i do think 'you wont know what hit you when i get to you'. and of course the words, 'if it happens again'. Although i would go as far as saying a wet dream to me, as it was for darren, i would say it is all about desire, and waiting to be able to touch them in the way you want to. |
